My twin sister is gone now. She was thrown out of her car, and hit the road. The ambulance came and got her but, there was nothing they could do, and the helicopter had to take her to Louisville. This is hard to talk about because I was not there and it hurts to talk about it. I guess it was time for her to leave. She was in the sky in the helicopter and left there for heaven.

I went through a lot of depression after this happened, it is hard growing up with someone, side by side, then they are gone. We would laugh together, cry together, and talk a lot. I understood her, and she understood me. What darkness that grew over several months. I was lost and confused. It took on the responsibility of taking on her children. As I thought, taking care of her children, would keep her with me.

For eighteen months her children lived with us, my children and me. It was very emotional, to see her in them. It seemed like the boy had her personality and the little girl was her mother made over. The darkness kept growing and growing. No matter what I tried, this was not right. I had to take the children to my mother, the children’s grandmother, where they are happy and it is working out.

I had to go to counseling for awhile, to sort out my feelings and try to understand.  What a relief, feeling better emotionally and physically, like the clouds have moved. She is with me now in my heart, and mind. I know now she will always be a part of me. I am at peace now and know that everything will be okay. She is my guardian angel.
