End of My Story |

going back to war and grateful that she is going to lend a helpful hand to those who need it in the most. Instead of being angry and selfish, I’m going to be encouraging and supportive because when I have been in difficult situations my mom did the same for me. The destruction of Haiti brought me to a sense of reality of how blessed and fortunate I am. There are a countless amount of people throughout the world that don’t have a lot of privileges and opportunities, however; sometimes I am not grateful for the many opportunities I have. I attempt to visualize myself in their situation, but I can’t. I have become so accustomed to getting the essentials I need and the materials I want that I wouldn’t know what to do if everything I have earned was taken from me. My eyes are no longer blind by some egotistic motives. Each and every day I strive to become a better person by trying to look at things for the better and as I get into the habits of this thinking, life will be perceived greater than it appears. |
