reached almost one hundred and five thousand in Haiti with the distribution of food, clean water and water purification packets, jerry cans, hygiene kits, mattresses and blankets as well as the installation of water storage systems and latrines. The organization is in the process of receiving two thousand and five hundred tents that will be distributed in remote areas. They are currently concentrating immediate necessities of three million affected by the disaster by assisting them with access to clean water, nutritious food, and emergency supplies. The organization has started planning for long-term response to the earthquake in Haiti beginning March 2010 through 2015.

Although the earthquake of Haiti caused the death of thousands, increased poverty, and turmoil, it brought millions of people together. People have realized that what affects another can affect them as well. This disaster has brought out the humanitarian spirit that many did not know they had within themselves. People put away their selfish ways and pitched in  by donating millions of dollars to aid in the support effort in reestablishing some normalcy. The human spirit of giving was expressed all over the world in the aftermath of this tragic event.
