Text Box: The ATV market has really expanded over the past thirty years. Although many proclaim that ATVs are dangerous, I say they are only as dangerous as the person driving them. There are various types of machines now for all ages and skill levels. Riding ATVs has become a very popular hobby for families to share together. ATVs are also great for many outdoor activities, whether you need to haul out a deer or go check the cows. ATVs are great for getting you where you need to go when it comes to rough terrain. Also motocross racing is an exciting sport for ATV riders. Motocross The sport of Motocross is a great industry because it appeals to people of all ages. They have races for children as young as four years old, and people may enjoy the sport as long as they are able. Motocross requires all riders to wear all the safety gear and follow certain rules, which teaches the riders to always use safety first. Motocross is definitely a favorite sport of mine. Hunting ATVs are also a big hit with hunters. Manufacturers offer a variety of machines coming complete with gun racks, deer haulers, and different types of camouflage designs. I have found my ATV very handy while hunting, dragging a deer up a hill with it sure beats dragging it by hand. FARMING ATVs are also very useful for hunting and farm use. The ATV is much more efficient for someone on the farm, because it is much quicker and can carry heavy loads. Scott Rector of Bristol, Virginia states that the ATV is much more economical than using a tractor. “I use mine to check on fencing, go into the woods to find my cattle and haul equipment.” Rector says. Hobbies There are various places and parks all over the United States that offer great family fun when it comes to riding ATVs. Going riding with family and friends is a great way to get out of the house and share a hobby together.
