There are three types: A diagnosis of Type II Diabetes indicates that there is no insulin being produced in the body. Insulin is a hormone produced in the pancreas, which is spread throughout the body to lower the blood sugar level after eating. Type II diagnosis is that there is not enough insulin produced, or that it doesn’t work efficiently.  Lastly, the third type is Gestational Diabetes, which is only developed during a woman’s pregnancy and is usually resolved shortly after giving birth. Just in 2007, there was a reported 23.6 million people living with diabetes. Of that 23.6, 17.9 were diagnosed and the other 5.7 were undiagnosed. In perspective, 7.8 of the population was a reported diabetic in 2007 according to a nonprofit public charity.  Too much body fat, for lack of better words is Obesity in a nutshell. Obesity affects over one-third of the Adult population. [obesity.org/information/what_is_obesity.asp]   Living with obesity can be a burden and hinder one from doing daily activities that most take for granted; walking, tying shoes and even sitting in a school desk. Approximately 112,000 deaths a year are the result of obesity each year. [obesity.org/information/what_is_obesity.asp] .Obesity is diagnosed according to the measurement of your Body Mass Index (BMI). It is calculated by multiplying your height (in lbs.) by 705 and then dividing it by your height (inches) by two. Obese individuals are usually reported in the event of the resulting number being greater than 30.
