Right To Vote |

On the cold day of January 20, 2009 the United States swore in its first African American president. This was a very big day in history. It was also a huge day for myself. The anticipation of who would be the president for the 2008 election was a big deal for me. I was 18 years of age and as new as a spring chicken when it came to voting. In my own personal opinion voting is a big responsibility and a privilege. Most people take it for granted but as a fellow voter I do not. I was very nervous that November day when I voted for the first time. |
