Weird. Creepy. Demented. Some of the things that might come to one’s mind when thinking of director, Tim Burton. In contrast, you may share my feelings, and appreciate his bizarre work. His vivid imagination is accountable for the “not so average” stories he produces. Making characters, even their surroundings, appear different from which they are, puts a unique twist on the meaning behind the movie.
Making things abstract, almost fairy-tale like, is an amazing quality he possesses. At the end of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it appears to be snowing. The camera zooms out and there are gigantic salt shakers hovering over their house, pouring out snow. His imagination goes far beyond any movie director I’ve ever seen. Not only does he produce memorable movies, he’s an artist with a published book of his work. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion. In mine, Tim Burton is amazing. He’s been directing for nearly three decades and continuously puts out hits. Like him or not, he’s apparently here to stay. I look forward to movies in the future from one of my favorite directors. |
