Recovery |

I had starved my body for so long that I was not able to think rationally or handle stressful situations. This caused a series of events that probably saved my life. I was sent to a psychiatrist, a nutritionist and a lot of therapy. This was not a overnight fix. This is a disease that takes years to recover from. I had to learn that it was ok to be look different, it was ok to look like me. I cannot say that I am completely recovered but I have learned how to make healthy eating choices and that’s where it starts. You have to take one day at a time and rely on your strengths and not your weaknesses. We are all made to be different and to think differently this is what makes the world go around. We may not realize sometimes the words we chose will have a major impact in someone’s life, so please, choose your words carefully; they may be the only words someone hears.
