I grew up in the 80’s when Charlie’s Angels, scantily clad Madonna and Seventeen magazine pictured beautiful, successful, and thin women. I wanted to be just like them. Even if it was for just a day. As I went through puberty my whole body changing, putting on weight in places I didn’t want it and having no control of any of it. I would look around and see women with beautiful bodies and start wondering why I don’t look like them.
